Dear Sir/Madam,

RE: CSSP NATIONAL TITRATION COMPETITION 2016

On behalf of CSSP, I would like to invite your school to participate in this year’s National Titration Competition.

This competition has been a yearly event on the CSSP calendar; and it has served to test the practical application of chemistry, in terms of the student’s laboratory skills and knowledge. It also provides an opportunity to meet students from other schools who also share an interest in the chemical sciences. Each school is allowed only one competitor for each division, which makes this a highly competitive event.

The competition for the different zones will be held on Saturday 18th June, 2016 at the following venues and times:

• Central/Southern Zone: USP Chemistry Labs, Laucala Campus, Suva
• Western Zone: Nadi Muslim College and Xavier College, (Ba)
• Northern Zone: Labasa SKM College

• Senior Division (Form 6): 10.00 – 12.00 p.m. (2 hrs)
• Advanced Division (Form 7): 1.00 – 4.00 p.m. (3 hrs)

The experiment for this competition is selected in accordance with the Ministry of Education curriculum. As this is a competition, we expect students to know a bit more than what is required in the syllabus.

This year, NO Entry Fee will be charged. The Registration Form must be submitted on or before Friday June 3rd, 2016; preferably via email: titration(at)thecssp.org.
